The following Norwich & District Angler's Association (NDAA) waters must be booked in advance (see booking instructions below).

Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with the NDAA Rules as stated below before visiting.

River Bure, St. Benets

Access to River Bure is available via St. Benets, parking in the designated visitor car park only.

Easy bank access from in front of the Abbey remains/disused wind pump downstream to the field boundary.

The Bure throws up lots of skimmers & bream throughout the season. Roach are also present in large numbers in the summer and autumn but migrate upstream once larger tides arrive in early October. Boat traffic is very heavy during the summer holidays and can make fishing the feeder across to the far bank almost impossible. Once boat traffic drops in October the river colour also diminishes and fishing early and late in the day may be the only way to attract bites in the colder months.

Noted pegs are the first 5 in front of the wind pump, the pegs opposite the willow just upstream of the cattle drink, the pegs near the "black sign" and the end pegs just before the field boundary.

River Thurne, Cold Harbour

Access to the right of car park through gate at top of flood bank. Bank access stretches all the way downstream to Thurne mouth where the river joins the Bure. Unfortunatey only 16 pegs are maintained with access via two pathways in front of a dyke which acts as a fish refuge from salt tides (access signposted on footpath on flood bank).

Note that fishing pattern here follows that of the Bure with summer & autumn providing the most consistent sport. Although the roach migrate upstream once the first salt tides arrive at the end of September there are plenty of skimmers & bream to be caught throughout the season conditions permitting.

River Bure, Woodbastwick Staithe

NDAA have exclusive use of fishing platforms and areas downstream of Woodbastwick staithe (south bank of the river opposite Horning Ferry).

NUAC access to the waters indicated is via arrangement with Norwich & District Angler's Association and as part of this arrangement the following rules MUST be followed;
